Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Cazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carter Cazz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Howlett!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett scores with a head kick. Cazz tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Carter Cazz has been cut.
Cazz tries to land a body kick
and Howlett counters with a left and a right that stings Cazz.

Cazz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Howlett dodges an elbow strike from Cazz.
Howlett blocks the elbow strike.

Howlett breaks from the clinch.
Cazz wants to clinch up but Howlett keeps it at a distance.
Howlett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cazz avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cazz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Howlett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cazz's waist but Cazz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Howlett off to one side.

Howlett tries to bum rush Cazz with a series of wild strikes but Cazz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cazz tries to land a leg kick but Howlett saw it coming and moves away.
Howlett thuds his right hand into Cazz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Howlett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cazz wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Carter Cazz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cazz has a couple of punches blocked by Howlett.
Cazz lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cazz gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Howlett unloads a knee to the mid-section. Cazz lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Cazz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Cazz's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cazz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Howlett is working for takedown but Cazz is calmly controlling the position for now.

Howlett gets control of Cazz's arms and successfully pulls guard. Howlett will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've been informed that Howlett has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Howlett pulls Cazz in close to prevent any damage.
Cazz wants to stand and escape but instead Howlett has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Howlett in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cazz is breathing heavily.
Howlett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Carter Cazz will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Howlett misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Cazz counters by moving into the clinch.
Howlett changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cazz fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Carter Cazz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Howlett.
Howlett lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Howlett.

Howlett drops back looking for a leg! Cazz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cazz manages to kick Howlett off! Howlett jumps back into Cazz's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Howlett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Howlett seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Howlett gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Howlett - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

James Howlett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cazz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Howlett on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Howlett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Howlett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cazz defends it nicely.

Howlett closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cazz pushes off an throws an elbow but Howlett leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Howlett goes for a takedown attempt but Cazz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Cazz throws a sloppy head kick
and Cazz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Howlett throws a front kick aimed at Cazz's knee but Cazz avoids it well.
Cazz tries to clinch there but Howlett circles away.
As Cazz backs off Howlett throws a huge counter combo but Cazz manages to avoid it all.
Cazz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Howlett throws out the jab.
Howlett fails with the takedown.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cazz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Howlett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cazz tries to avoid it but Howlett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cazz to the ground. Cazz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Howlett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Howlett.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cazz is looking to clinch.
Howlett tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Howlett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Howlett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
