Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamad Najar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Dog is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Najar moves into the clinch successfully.
Dog jumps guard but Najar stands there with Dog around his waist. Dog gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Najar is nestled in close to Dog, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Najar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Najar is pressing down on Dog's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dog is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Najar uses his free foot to push down on Dog's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dog.

Dog is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Najar lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
