Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Esteban Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keet Rawlee!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rawlee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dixon was covering up waiting for the punch and Rawlee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dixon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rawlee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Rawlee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dixon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rawlee is in Dixon's guard.

Dixon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dixon controls Rawlee momentarily but Rawlee frees himself.
Dixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rawlee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dixon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rawlee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dixon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rawlee throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Keet Rawlee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dixon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dixon is controlling Rawlee's posture.
Rawlee tries to stand but Dixon is controlling from the bottom.

Rawlee throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dixon has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rawlee has passed into side control.

Rawlee tries for a kimura but Dixon is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rawlee trying to control the position but Dixon is working away.
You can see the frustration on Dixon's face as Rawlee controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rawlee decides to stand back up. Rawlee steps back and let's Dixon get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Rawlee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dixon's half guard.
Dixon gets back to full guard.

Dixon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rawlee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rawlee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Keet Rawlee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Rawlee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dixon is looking to get back to his feet here but Rawlee is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dixon's back.
Rawlee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rawlee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dixon has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rawlee looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dixon has picked Rawlee up and slammed him! Rawlee can't keep hold of the triangle and Dixon manages to pass to side control!

Dixon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rawlee is just riding it out for now. Dixon eventually gives up the hold.
Rawlee tries to roll over but Dixon keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Keet Rawlee will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Esteban Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Keet Rawlee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Rawlee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
