Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roco Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roco Sanchez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifton Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roco Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stanley drives through with a takedown into Sanchez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Sanchez uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Stanley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stanley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Stanley duly obliges.
Stanley throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely.
Sanchez wants to clinch up but Stanley keeps it at a distance.
Stanley leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Stanley. Sanchez shrugs it off though.

Stanley darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.
Stanley fails to pull guard.
Stanley tries to score a body lock takedown but Sanchez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sanchez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Clifton Stanley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roco Sanchez.

Sanchez pulls Stanley into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stanley gets to his feet - Sanchez follows without any prompting.

Stanley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sanchez has one foot on Stanley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Sanchez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Sanchez moves into the clinch successfully.

Stanley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stanley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stanley uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sanchez clinches up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stanley wants the takedown. Sanchez is fighting it off but Stanley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sanchez's guard against the cage.

Sanchez looking for a guillotine here but Stanley defends easily.
Sanchez looks winded!

Stanley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sanchez, up you get!
Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Stanley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Stanley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sanchez uses from the top position.
Stanley wants to stand and escape but Sanchez is having none of it.
Sanchez trying to control but Stanley is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez looking to pass the guard.

Stanley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sanchez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Stanley jumps into guard, dragging Sanchez to the mat.

Stanley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Sanchez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stanley.
Sanchez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Stanley jumps guard but Sanchez stands there with Stanley around his waist. Stanley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stanley keeps control of Sanchez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Stanley holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanchez drops back down to his feet.
Stanley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Stanley jumps guard but Sanchez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stanley tries to pull guard but Sanchez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Stanley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sanchez tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Sanchez is looking to break free of the clinch but Stanley has double underhooks.
Stanley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Stanley is trying to trip Sanchez. He has hold of a leg but Sanchez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stanley persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sanchez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stanley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stanley lands the left hand.
Sanchez misses with a head kick.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stanley sprawls well. Stanley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.
Stanley misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Stanley gets a double leg takedown into Sanchez's guard.
Sanchez is wriggling around but Stanley manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stanley stands up and beckons Sanchez to join him on the feet.
Stanley fails to land with a series of punches.

Stanley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sanchez has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Stanley is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Stanley can't get the takedown.
Stanley tries to pull guard but Sanchez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stanley manages to pull guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stanley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanchez defends well.

Sanchez stands and steps away. Stanley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sanchez dives in for a single leg takedown but Stanley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Stanley manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sanchez lands a couple of elbows.

Stanley is trying to pull guard but Sanchez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sanchez is trying to break the clinch but Stanley is controlling him.
Stanley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sanchez is trying to drag Stanley to the mat but Stanley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stanley pulls guard successfully.
Stanley wants to stand but Sanchez is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanchez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sanchez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stanley is keeping the position for now.

Stanley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sanchez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clifton Stanley dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sanchez goes for a double leg but Stanley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stanley continues to drive forward.
Stanley is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sanchez.
Roco Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt - Stanley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stanley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sanchez appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Stanley takes the fight into the clinch.
Stanley is looking to take this one to the mat.

Stanley looking for a triangle here. Sanchez is fighting it but it looks tight! Stanley pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Sanchez is tapping out - this one is all over!
