Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cool Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick Connor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man lands an overhand right.
Connor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Man circles away.

You get the feeling that Connor really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Connor bucks up and tries to throw Man off but instead Man has got his back!

Man jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Connor manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Man goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Connor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Man but great work by Connor.
Man tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Connor presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Connor wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely.

Connor has his takedown stuffed

and Man counters with a nice double leg into side control. Connor won't be happy with that.
Connor managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Man.
Man creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Connor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Man has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Man prevents Connor from standing back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Man is trying to control the action in half guard but Connor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Man is taking a breather. Connor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Man swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Connor is now in Man's guard. A big mistake from Man there, giving up the dominant position!

Man closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Connor wants to get back to his feet.
Man is tying to control. Connor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Man tries to stand but can't do so whilst Connor controls his leg.
Man tries to pass to full mount but Connor defends it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Connor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Man looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Man shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Man was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cool Man is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man manages to capitalize on a mistake by Connor to take his back!
