Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Nico (ranked 5456 p4p, 602 weight class) and Jaidee Shinawatra (ranked 5954 p4p, 634 weight class). Shinawatra is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roy Jones Jr - Can't Be Touched. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicolas Nico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaidee Shinawatra!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinawatra bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It seemed like Shinawatra was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Nico throws a poor cross that misses
and Shinawatra counters with a stiff right hand.
A jab from Nico misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Shinawatra misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Nico misses the target.
The fighters circling - Nico throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nico's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shinawatra under the eye.
Nico misses with a looping left.
Nico takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nico looks to throw the jab but Shinawatra is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nico scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Nico throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shinawatra sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Shinawatra. Nico does a little dance to reset his feet.
A left and a right from Nico both land. Nice combination.
Nico throws a hook to the side of Shinawatra's head but Shinawatra sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shinawatra moves out of range as Nico strikes.

Nico fails to land with a series of punches.
Nico is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Shinawatra makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Nicolas Nico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Nico takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nico's corner calls for a 1-2. Nico obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nico gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Shinawatra gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Nico is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
