Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roco Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Buchanan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roco Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanchez gets control of Buchanan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanchez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buchanan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Sanchez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Sanchez is trying to control the position but Buchanan postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Buchanan defends well.
Buchanan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Buchanan gets to his feet - Sanchez follows without any prompting.

Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Buchanan was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Buchanan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Sanchez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanchez throws a jab but it's blocked by Buchanan.

Buchanan gets tackled into the cage by Sanchez. Sanchez maintains the clinch.
Sanchez takes a knee to the side of the body.

Buchanan scores a nice knee to the body.
Buchanan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buchanan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sanchez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Buchanan is pushing Sanchez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Buchanan tries to score a body lock takedown but Sanchez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Buchanan manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Sanchez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Buchanan to the ground. Sanchez is now in Buchanan's guard.

Buchanan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanchez wants to control from the top but Buchanan keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Buchanan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buchanan lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buchanan stops Sanchez from getting back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Buchanan seems content to control.
Sanchez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez has a hand on Buchanan's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Buchanan takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Sanchez shoots in and bounces Buchanan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Buchanan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sanchez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Buchanan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Buchanan has momentary wrist control but Sanchez slips an elbow through the middle.
Sanchez connects with a couple of short punches.

Buchanan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sanchez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Buchanan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sanchez can do to turn this around?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sanchez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Buchanan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.

Sanchez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Buchanan stacks Sanchez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Buchanan!
Sanchez is breathing heavily.

Buchanan stands up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Buchanan.

Buchanan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sanchez tries to kick Buchanan off in order to stand up. Buchanan Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Sanchez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Buchanan decides to stand back up.

Sanchez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Buchanan throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Buchanan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanchez sprawls well initially but Buchanan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buchanan connects with a nice short shot to Sanchez's temple.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Sanchez replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buchanan blocks it well.

Sanchez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buchanan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sanchez is looking to stand back up but Buchanan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sanchez.

Sanchez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Buchanan scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

George Buchanan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Buchanan is taking a breather. Sanchez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

George Buchanan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buchanan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
