The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrington darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ninja fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barrington avoids the head kick by Ninja.
Barrington moves out of range as Ninja strikes.
Barrington misses with a takedown attempt - Ninja sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Barrington closes the distance and clinches.
Barrington is pressed up against the cage. Ninja has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barrington down to the mat. Barrington avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ninja feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ninja is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barrington is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barrington has escaped and now he's on top!

Horrible takedown by Barrington or perhaps it was just good defense by Ninja which made him look bad.
Ninja thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Barrington if he has to take too many more of those.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but Brutus Barrington did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
