Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Fisherman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Theodore Fisherman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fisherman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fisherman fails in his attempt to clinch.

Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fisherman to the ground. Johnson is now in Fisherman's guard.
Fisherman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fisherman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.

Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fisherman is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fisherman is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Fisherman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Fisherman is working for a kimura but Johnson is defending it quite comfortably.

Fisherman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Johnson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fisherman in particular looking to stall.
Fisherman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fisherman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.
Johnson keeps trying to improve his position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Johnson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Fisherman manages to mount him!

Fisherman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Johnson is trying to stand.

Fisherman unloads with some shots from mount but Johnson bucks and avoids them well.
Johnson wants to control but Fisherman is having none of it.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Fisherman's attempts to control the action.
Johnson tries to hold on but Fisherman pushes him away.
Johnson is trying to escape the mount.
Fisherman trying to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fisherman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson turns into Fisherman and is now in his guard.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Fisherman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Fisherman counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson.

Johnson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Fisherman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Johnson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Fisherman trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Fisherman keeps moving.
Theodore Fisherman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fisherman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fisherman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fisherman pinned against the cage. Fisherman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fisherman tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fisherman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Theodore Fisherman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dick Johnson.
Johnson has Fisherman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fisherman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Johnson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Johnson scores with a punch to the head.
Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Fisherman, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fisherman gets caught napping as Johnson dives in and scores a takedown. Fisherman manages to retain guard.

Fisherman uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fisherman is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Fisherman circles away and we're back to standing.
Fisherman stuffs the takedown.
Fisherman dives in for a single leg takedown but Johnson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dick Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
Fisherman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisherman off to one side.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Johnson tries to throw a body punch but Fisherman avoids it by throwing Johnson back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fisherman is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Fisherman is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Johnson is nestled in close to Fisherman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fisherman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.
Fisherman pulls Johnson in to control the position.
Fisherman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Fisherman controlling him for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Theodore Fisherman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fisherman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
