The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes throws a sloppy head kick
and Genimer counters with a series of strikes. Reyes will be more careful next time no doubt.
Reyes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Genimer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Reyes throws a leg kick
and Genimer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Reyes throws a lazy head kick
and Genimer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Reyes with a poor takedown
and Genimer counters with a stiff right hand.
Genimer circles away from the clinch attempt
and Genimer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Reyes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kyle Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Genimer feints a jab promting Reyes to slip. Genimer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Reyes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Genimer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Genimer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Reyes has his takedown stuffed
and Reyes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Genimer misses with a takedown attempt - Reyes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brusko Ramero Genimer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Reyes.

Reyes has closed the distance and engaged Genimer in a clinch.
Reyes tries to pull guard but Genimer holds him up against the cage and eventually Reyes drops back down to his feet.

Genimer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Genimer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Reyes has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Reyes gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Genimer gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Reyes is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
