Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Melvin Dufrane (ranked 8157 p4p, 801 weight class) and Joe Showtime (ranked 9435 p4p, 860 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Melvin Dufrane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dufrane throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Showtime stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Showtime closes the distance but Dufrane moves to the side
and Dufrane counters with a right hand to the body.
Showtime moves to clinch but Dufrane breaks away
and Dufrane counters with a stiff right hand.
Dufrane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Showtime closes the distance but Dufrane moves to the side
and Dufrane counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Joe Showtime has been cut.
Showtime tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Dufrane counters with a right, a left and a big uppercut that drops Showtime to the mat! Dufrane runs to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. 3,4,5,6 and Showtime is back to his feet. He seems ready to continue - the ref agrees so we're back at it!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Dufrane counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dufrane lands a right and a left and another right! Showtime goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Melvin Dufrane!
