Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Eva Contonio (ranked 5003 p4p, 561 weight class) and Marius Wieneke (ranked 5426 p4p, 603 weight class). Contonio comes to the ring accompanied by PUT EM IN THE AIR... KEEP UM THERE 2:54-6:29. Wieneke has chosen Satyricon - K.I.N.G as his entrance music. Eva Contonio could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marius Wieneke's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marius Wieneke!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieneke lands a really nice looking cross but Contonio seems unphased.
Wieneke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Contonio misses with a body shot.
Wieneke throws a body shot but no joy.
Contonio has closed the distance and engaged Wieneke in a clinch.
Wieneke has had enough of the clinch but Contonio keeps him there for the moment.
Wieneke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Marius Wieneke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wieneke has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Wieneke takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Contonio scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wieneke doesn't seem bothered though.

Contonio lands with a kick to the temple. Wieneke shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wieneke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Contonio.
Contonio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wieneke stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wieneke misses with a wild body shot.
Contonio seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Contonio takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wieneke lands with a slapping head kick.
Contonio swings for the body but Wieneke moves out of range.
Contonio avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wieneke lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Contonio misses with a low kick as Wieneke jumps back.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wieneke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Contonio is looking to wear down Wieneke with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Wieneke scores with a one two! Contonio had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Contonio was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Contonio throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wieneke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marius Wieneke will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Contonio throws a quick counter head kick but Wieneke was just out of range.

As Contonio backs off Wieneke throws a huge counter combo but Contonio manages to avoid it all.
Wieneke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Contonio manages to avoid it.

Contonio dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wieneke throws a body shot but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Contonio tries to clinch but Wieneke moves out of range.
Contonio looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Wieneke throws a series of punches but Contonio avoids them all with ease.

Contonio creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Wieneke blocks an elbow strike.
Contonio gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Contonio creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wieneke's defenses.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Contonio.

Wieneke takes an elbow to the forehead.
Contonio creates a bit of distance and cracks Wieneke with a big uppercut! Wieneke goes down! The referee pushes Contonio away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Wieneke make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Contonio takes it!
