Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith rushes Hudson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hudson is trying to force a seperation but Smith has the dominant position.
Hudson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Smith is defending well for now.

Smith gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hudson regains guard.
Hudson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hudson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Smith lands a couple of decent looking shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smith is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Smith wants to stand but Hudson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hudson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hudson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well.
Hudson really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hudson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Smith has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Smith has hold of one of Hudson's legs. Hudson is fighting the takedown attempt but Smith gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith is in close to Hudson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Smith working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hudson's head.
Smith postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

It looks like Dan Hudson has been cut.
Hudson wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Hudson keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Smith is working Hudson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Smith content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hudson is rocked!
Smith loads up on a big left hand. Hudson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Smith looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hudson can't hide his disappointment, as Smith celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Smith!
