The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Town avoids it really well and circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Town.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Town is trying to get an arm triangle but Thornton is defending well.
Town is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Thornton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Town gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Thornton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Town lets go of the hold and Thornton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
