Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sarel The Eagle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Valur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valur has chosen David Bowie - Let's Dance as his entrance music. Sarel The Eagle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sarel The Eagle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gilbert Valur!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valur swats away the attempt to clinch by The Eagle.
The Eagle throws a body punch but Valur moves out of range.
The Eagle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The Eagle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Valur.
The Eagle showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Valur.
Gilbert Valur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valur closes the distance and clinches up with The Eagle, looking for a takedown. Valur pushes The Eagle against the cage but The Eagle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The Eagle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Valur avoids it really well and circles away.
The Eagle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Valur as he avoids it easily.
The Eagle fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sarel The Eagle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valur misses with a takedown attempt - The Eagle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Valur defends well against a solid takedown attempt from The Eagle.
Valur changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Valur. No joy for The Eagle on that attempt.
Valur shoots for a takedown but The Eagle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The Eagle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valur.
Valur keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The Eagle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valur's waist but Valur gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Eagle off to one side.
The Eagle is looking to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Valur.
The Eagle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valur paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Valur tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Eagle swivels and escapes.
Valur tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Eagle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Valur somewhat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from The Eagle.

Valur moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Eagle wants to take the fight to the mat but Valur manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Valur ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Valur no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Valur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst The Eagle is controlling him.
The Eagle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Valur lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Valur slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The Eagle wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Valur is now in half guard.
The Eagle pushes Valur off looking to stand but Valur dives back in and keeps control.
The Eagle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Valur is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The Eagle tries to get to full guard but Valur has control of the leg.

Valur is looking for a kimura but The Eagle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Valur to get the leverage.
Valur slows the pace down in half guard.
The Eagle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Valur is working away from the top position though.
Valur content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The Eagle wants to get back to his feet.

Valur is trying to work for a kimura but The Eagle is defending well.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The Eagle is trying to maintain the position but Valur is very close to passing his half guard.
Valur slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Eagle throws a leg kick that is checked
and Valur counters with a head kick. That will keep The Eagle thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Valur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Eagle pinned against the cage. The Eagle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Valur closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Valur lands in his opponent's guard.
Valur postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Valur slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Valur has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The Eagle throws a head kick but Valur moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Valur misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from The Eagle.

The Eagle gets caught napping as Valur dives in and scores a takedown. The Eagle manages to retain guard.
Valur landing with the ground and pound.
Valur stands and throws The Eagle's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The referee asks Valur politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Valur prefers to stall for the moment though.
Valur landing strikes.
The Eagle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Valur off and has taken his back!
Even with his hooks in, The Eagle manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Valur tries to escape but The Eagle has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Valur prevents The Eagle from getting a body triangle.

The Eagle tries to keep control of the position but Valur is staying busy.
The Eagle somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Valur covering up well under a series of strikes from The Eagle.
Valur turns into The Eagle and is now in his guard.

Valur gets to his feet. The Eagle looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Valur moves into range and clinches up with The Eagle.

The Eagle gets underhooks to prevent Valur's takedown attempt.
The Eagle goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The Eagle is trying to force a seperation but Valur has the dominant position.
Knees in the clinch landing for Valur.
The Eagle is trying to pull guard but Valur turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
The Eagle is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Valur gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The Eagle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The Eagle tries to clinch but Valur is having none of it.
The Eagle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sarel The Eagle. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Valur.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Eagle tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gilbert Valur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Valur stuffs the takedown.

The Eagle gets caught flat footed, as Valur shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The Eagle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Valur dives into side control.

The Eagle gets his hands free as Valur looks to control.

The Eagle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Valur has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - The Eagle's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The Eagle doesn't have the hooks in and Valur manages to turn into his guard.
Valur wants to pass the guard but The Eagle is keeping the position.
Valur distracts The Eagle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Valur is stalling in the full guard.
Valur with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The Eagle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Valur postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Valur is stalling in the full guard.
The Eagle is trying to control the position but Valur postures up.

Valur is trying for a kimura here. The Eagle looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Valur wins by kimura!
