Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tahgi Assad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bus Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tahgi Assad has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tahgi Assad seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bus Adams!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assad scores with a jab.
Assad misses with a series of wild punches.
A jab from Adams misses.
Assad on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Assad avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Assad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adams's coach down at Makoa $50 (Strength and Cardio) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Adams's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Good standup being displayed there by Assad as he connects with a hook.
Adams pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Assad throws a big counter combination but Adams scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Assad.
Adams tries to counter by closing the distance.
Assad misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Adams.

Adams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Adams throws a head kick that misses.
Assad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Adams.
Assad is looking for a counter combo.
Adams misses the shot to the body.
A punch combination from Adams misses.
Assad misses with an uppercut.
Adams lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Assad is looking to clinch.
Adams misses with a head kick.
Assad stalks Adams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Adams's face. Adams staggers backwards, shaken.

Adams is rocked!
Assad looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Adams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Adams has closed the distance and engaged Assad in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Adams has picked Assad up - he's going for a ride! Adams dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Assad has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Adams. Oh but Assad has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Adams goes limp - he's gone! Assad jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Bus Adams was interviewed post fight and said 'It's okay, I'm good. Senior citizens need a break even for once in a while'.
