Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Berry Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giel De Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Berry Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giel De Winter!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Winter closes the distance and clinches.

Robbins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

De Winter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Robbins's guard.

De Winter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Robbins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Winter, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Winter controls Robbins momentarily but Robbins frees himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Winter clinches.

De Winter is pushing down on Robbins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Robbins is fighting to maintain full guard but De Winter has managed to sneak the leg through.
De Winter is trying to control. Robbins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Robbins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
De Winter is taking a breather. Robbins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

De Winter seems to be looking for submissions.
Robbins is pressing down on De Winter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Robbins is looking to stand up but De Winter isn't so interested in that idea.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


De Winter shoots in looking for a takedown but Robbins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Winter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Robbins appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
De Winter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robbins pinned against the cage. Robbins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A quick step to the side and Robbins tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Robbins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that De Winter can do to turn this around?

De Winter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Robbins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten De Winter somewhat.

De Winter throws a big elbow that misses.

Robbins is staying active underneath De Winter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

De Winter wants to take a breather but Robbins is having none of it.

De Winter seems to be working for a kimura but Robbins defends the submission attempt.
De Winter wants to pass to mount but Robbins is defending the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

De Winter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Robbins is just riding it out for now. De Winter eventually gives up the hold.
De Winter is stalling here. Robbins is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! De Winter seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Robbins has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Robbins decides to stand back up. Robbins steps back and let's De Winter get back to his feet.

De Winter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Robbins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Robbins with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Robbins digs a good hook to De Winter's body.
De Winter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
De Winter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robbins as he jumps to the side.

De Winter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robbins to the mat! Robbins manages to get full guard.

De Winter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Robbins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Robbins has escaped and now he's on top!

Robbins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Robbins connects with a nice short shot to De Winter's temple.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Robbins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
