Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harley Levy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Gasanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamil Gasanov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Harley Levy's chin.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gasanov throws a head kick but Levy moves out of range.
Levy went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gasanov takes a swing at Levy's ribcage but misses.

Gasanov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Levy on his heels. He'll look to pass Levy's guard now, I'm sure.
Levy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gasanov tries to free his leg and advance position but Levy is retaining full guard.
Levy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gasanov passes Levy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gasanov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Levy controls his leg.
Gasanov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Levy holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gasanov stalling.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gasanov connects with a nice short shot to Levy's temple.
Gasanov wants to control but Levy is keeping him busy.
Gasanov trying to pass the guard but Levy defending well.
Levy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gasanov on the ground.
Gasanov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Gasanov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Levy sees it coming and defends easily.

Levy is not content to let Gasanov control the position.
Levy trying to control but Gasanov postures up.
Gasanov is looking to advance position but Levy won't allow it.
Gasanov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Levy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Levy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gasanov as he avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Gasanov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Levy lands a head kick!

Gasanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gasanov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Gasanov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Levy's half guard.

Levy is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gasanov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Levy quite badly. Levy pulls Gasanov in close trying to recover. Gasanov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Levy on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Levy doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
