The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Orton counters with a leg kick.

Winkle tries to score a body lock takedown but Orton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Winkle fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Orton to the ground. Winkle is now in Orton's guard.

Orton goes for a double leg but Winkle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Winkle continues to drive forward.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winkle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Winkle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Orton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Winkle has managed to get both his arms back between Orton's legs - danger averted.
Orton wants to control but Winkle passes easily into half guard.
