Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ire Land (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Land fails with the takedown.
Land fails to land with a series of punches.
Randall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Randall moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Ire Land seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Randall is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Land's half guard.

Randall misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Randall stands up and beckons Land to his feet.

Randall tightens his grip and picks Land up, before dumping him to the ground. Land manages to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Land is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Land accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Land throwing strikes but Randall manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Randall has the hooks in. Land is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
