Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Falaris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Jones looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Falaris!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falaris throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head.

Falaris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A head kick from Falaris lands but Jones takes it in his stride.

Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Falaris which made him look bad.

Marcus Falaris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Falaris uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jones. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Falaris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Falaris is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Falaris lands a high kick!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jones crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Falaris - the referee stops the clock and Jones gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Falaris. Jones manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Falaris has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Marcus Falaris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Falaris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
