Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garth Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gigantcer Zek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gigantcer Zek is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brennan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Zek, pushing him back against the cage.
Zek looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Zek wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brennan has him pressed against the cage.

Zek's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Zek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zek lands in his opponent's guard.
Zek stops Brennan from standing up.
Brennan has Zek pulled in close to control his posture.
Zek won't allow Brennan to get back to his feet.
Zek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brennan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brennan wants to stand up but Zek is controlling him.

Zek stops Brennan from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Brennan tries to clinch there but Zek circles away.
Zek circles away from the clinch attempt.

Zek drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Brennan defends it well.

Zek steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Gigantcer Zek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zek tries for a takedown but Brennan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Zek takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brennan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zek swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Brennan throws a nice outside leg kick.

Brennan closes the distance and clinches up with Zek, looking for a takedown. Brennan pushes Zek against the cage but Zek circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Brennan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Zek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zek wants it to stay on the feet.
Zek pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brennan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Zek shoots in and bounces Brennan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zek tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zek has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Zek darts in looking for a takedown but Brennan gets double underhooks and turns Zek into the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brennan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Zek off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brennan moves in looking to clinch but Zek pushes him off.

Brennan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zek's waist but Zek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brennan off to one side.

Zek throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brennan was covering up waiting for the punch and Zek finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Zek gets to his feet. Brennan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Zek tries to land a front kick but Brennan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Brennan tries to counter by clinching up but Zek breaks away and moves out of range.
Brennan throws a sloppy head kick and Zek moves out of range easily.
Brennan moves in looking to clinch but Zek pushes him off.

Zek looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brennan pushes Zek off but Zek dives into side control.
Brennan is trying to control Zek's posture but Zek avoids it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brennan bucks up and tries to throw Zek off but instead Zek has got his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Gigantcer Zek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Zek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
