The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takekaze tries for a takedown but Perkins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Takekaze or perhaps it was just good defense by Perkins, which made it look bad.
Takekaze shoots in for a double leg but Perkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Django Perkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ura Takekaze.
Perkins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Takekaze connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Perkins scrambles back to his feet.
Takekaze dives in and grabs Perkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Perkins pushes down on Takekaze's head and hops out.

Perkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Perkins has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Takekaze is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Takekaze has eaten all the pies!

Ura Takekaze's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Ura Takekaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
