The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pumpkin wants to clinch up but Lucas keeps it at a distance.

Lucas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lucas has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad The Island. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lucas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pumpkin's guard.

Lucas shoots for a double leg takedown but Pumpkin sprawls well. He's pushed Lucas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lucas lands a big elbow.

Lucas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pumpkin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lucas cracks Pumpkin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Pumpkin is trying to reverse the position but instead Lucas has taken his back - oops!

Lucas cracks Pumpkin with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Pumpkin from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Lucas controlling the positon.
Let's hope that Lucas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lucas gets his hands free as Pumpkin looks to control.
You can see the frustration on Pumpkin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
