And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baki Hanma!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hanma swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hanma moves away from the strike by Gunn.
Gunn looks to land a left hand but Hanma moved out of range nicely.
Hanma avoids the body shot from Gunn.
Hanma steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Hanma keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gunn.
Gunn moves out of range of the body kick from Hanma.
A lazy left from Hanma finds it's target.
Gunn throws a series of punches but Hanma avoids them all with ease.
Hanma throws a jab but it's blocked by Gunn.
Hanma misses with a hook. Gunn ducked under it nicely.
Gunn fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hanma just manages to avoid it.
Hanma has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gunn is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hanma takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hanma slips a jab from Gunn.
Hanma lands with a right hand.
Hanma cracks the inside of Gunn's front leg.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gunn falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Hanma to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanma throws a low kick but Gunn moves out of range easily.
Hanma lands a two punch combo.

Gunn is rocked!
Baki Hanma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanma steps in with a hook that catches Gunn right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hanma follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gunn looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baki Hanma!
In his post fight interview, Baki Hanma started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
