The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gominoa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gomez moves into the clinch.

Gominoa is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gomez is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gominoa to the mat. Gominoa regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gominoa scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Gomez avoids a kick to the body.
Gominoa throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Milan Gomez has been cut.
Gomez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gominoa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gominoa fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gomez.
Gominoa connects with a leg kick. Gomez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Gominoa tries for a takedown but Gomez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It looked like Gomez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gomez has his feet on Gominoa's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Gomez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gominoa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gomez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gominoa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gomez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gomez is looking to stand up but Gominoa won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gominoa shoots in looking for a takedown but Gomez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gominoa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gomez looks to land a combination but Gominoa avoids it well.

Gomez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gomez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gominoa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Milan Gomez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gomez misses with a double jab
and Gominoa counters with a series of strikes. Gomez will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gominoa cracks Gomez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gomez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gominoa pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gomez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ace Gominoa!
After the fight, Ace Gominoa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
