Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Allen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Allen dives in and scores a takedown into Silva's guard.

Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Allen throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Allen's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Allen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Allen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Allen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Allen tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva is working for a guillotine from mount but Allen frees his head quite easily.
We've been informed that Silva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Silva jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Allen manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Allen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Allen's waist but Allen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Silva throws a knee to the head but misses.
Allen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Allen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silva uses from the top position.
