Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joseph Ligambi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maxon Schreave!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schreave goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ligambi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schreave sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ligambi closes the distance and clinches up with Schreave, looking for a takedown. Ligambi pushes Schreave against the cage but Schreave circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Schreave's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ligambi darts in looking for a takedown but Schreave gets double underhooks and turns Ligambi into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Ligambi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ligambi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ligambi lands in his opponent's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schreave can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ligambi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ligambi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ligambi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schreave's head.
Ligambi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Schreave looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Schreave has momentary wrist control but Ligambi slips an elbow through the middle.
Schreave is trying to control the position but Ligambi postures up.
Ligambi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Schreave is rocked!
Ligambi postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Schreave covers up, he's hurt! Ligambi keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Ligambi and the ref steps in to end the fight! Ligambi can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
