Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wallace wants it to stay on the feet.
Wallace throws a hook to the side of Griffin's head but Griffin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Griffin shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Griffin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ronald Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace connects with a crisp jab.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown but Wallace shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nathan Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Griffin.
Wallace pushes Griffin away with a front kick.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wallace sprawls well. Wallace wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Griffin.
Griffin tries for a takedown but Wallace circles away easily
letting Wallace counter with a right hand.
Wallace misses with a low kick.
And Griffin tries to counter it with a takedown but Wallace pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wallace throws a quick inside leg kick.
Griffin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wallace defends well and Griffin ends up having to push Wallace into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wallace is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Wallace circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wallace throws a front kick aimed at Griffin's knee but Griffin avoids it well.

Griffin shoots in for a takedown but Wallace shows good takedown defense.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side.
Wallace feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Griffins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Wallace throws a looping overhand right but Griffin ducks down to avoid it.
Wallace throws a leg kick but Griffin sees it coming and moves out of range.
Griffin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Griffin closes the distance and clinches up with Wallace, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes Wallace against the cage but Wallace circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And Wallace counters with a quick kick to the body but Griffin blocks it.
Griffin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wallace stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wallace wants it to stay on the feet.
Wallace misses with a leg kick.
Wallace throws out a leg kick but Griffin moves out of range and Wallace only half commits.
Griffin shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wallace throws a leg kick but Griffin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wallace works the jab nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Griffin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wallace cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wallace is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ronald Griffin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wallace is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Griffin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wallace throws a low kick, looking for Griffin's leg but Griffin calmly moves out of range.
Griffin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Wallace to counter with a crisp jab.

and Griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wallace's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Griffin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Griffin goes for a double leg but Wallace avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wallace continues to drive forward.
Wallace throws a low kick but it's checked well by Griffin.

Griffin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
