Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy The Bruiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
The Bruiser misses with a body shot.
Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but The Bruiser sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

It looked like The Bruiser was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but The Bruiser swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The Bruiser lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Bruiser as he avoids it easily.
The Bruiser throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Bruiser defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
