The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salvador tries to clinch but Carvalho moves out of range.
Carvalho throws a body punch but Salvador moves out of range.
Salvador moves into the clinch successfully.
Salvador breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Carvalho has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Salvador after a bit of a struggle.

Salvador dives in and grabs Carvalho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carvalho pushes down on Salvador's head and hops out.

Carvalho shoots for a double leg takedown but Salvador sprawls well. He's pushed Carvalho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carvalho throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salvador was covering up waiting for the punch and Carvalho finishes the takedown easily into guard.
