Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Archibald.
Archibald looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Archibald misses with a jab, cross combination.
Guthrie went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Guthrie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Archibald tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Guthrie is in Archibald's guard.
Guthrie won't allow Archibald to get back to his feet.
Guthrie throws a big elbow that misses.

Archibald has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Guthrie is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Guthrie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Archibald walks away with a smile on his face. Guthrie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Archibald throws a big shot that misses.
Archibald misses with the combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Guthrie slips a jab and a cross from Archibald.

Archibald gets caught flat footed, as Guthrie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Archibald has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Guthrie is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Guthrie jumps guard and drags Archibald to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guthrie is looking for a triangle but Archibald pushes his legs off easily.

Guthrie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Archibald stacks Guthrie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Archibald!

Archibald stands up.
Guthrie slips a jab and a cross from Archibald.
Archibald lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Guthrie circles away quickly and effectively.
Guthrie ducks under a wild hook from Archibald.
Archibald misses with a series of wild punches.
Guthrie goes for a double leg but Archibald avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Archibald continues to drive forward.
Archibald lands a jab-cross combination.

Guthrie is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guthrie throws a wild hook but Archibald just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Guthrie gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Archibald raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
