Shabadoo shoots in for a takedown but de ridder shows good takedown defense.
de ridder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
de ridder moves in looking to clinch but Shabadoo pushes him off.
Shabadoo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shabadoo blocks a head kick by de ridder.

Shabadoo wants to lay and pray for a moment but de ridder keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
de ridder is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shabadoo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Shabadoo is trying to control the action in half guard but de ridder is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
de ridder wants to control but Shabadoo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shabadoo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. de ridder tries to avoid it but Shabadoo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag de ridder to the ground. de ridder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
de ridder tries to clinch but Shabadoo moves out of range.
de ridder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shabadoo as he jumps to the side.
Shabadoo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
de ridder is controlling Shabadoo's posture.
Shabadoo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! de ridder is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! de ridder has escaped and now he's on top!

de ridder loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Shabadoo wants to sweep here but de ridder controlling him for the moment.
de ridder is stalling in the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
de ridder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shabadoo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shabadoo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but de ridder puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin de ridder will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
de ridder has closed the distance and engaged Shabadoo in a clinch.
Shabadoo goes for a takedown in the clinch but de ridder prevents it.
de ridder tries to land knees in the clinch but Shabadoo avoids the damage to the body.
Shabadoo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Shabadoo avoids a wild elbow strike from de ridder.
Shabadoo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kevin de ridder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Joe Joe Jr Shabadoo.
