Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Nikos Giannopoulos and Pacer Dalton. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Nikos Giannopoulos! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Pacer Dalton!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Giannopoulos closes the distance and pushes Dalton back into the cage.
Giannopoulos looking for a takedown.
Dalton tries to score a body lock takedown but Giannopoulos shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Dalton lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Dalton has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Giannopoulos is in all sorts of trouble here.
Giannopoulos has given up his back here. Will Dalton look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Dalton really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Giannopoulos.
Giannopoulos has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Dalton looking to hold on to the position here but Giannopoulos rolls and ends up regaining guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Giannopoulos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dalton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dalton has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Giannopoulos to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Dalton is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Giannopoulos pulls down on the head and he's put Dalton to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nikos Giannopoulos!
Nikos Giannopoulos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
