Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ion Ciocan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka comes to the cage accompanied by Boyka. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ion Ciocan!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciocan jabs Boyka right on the nose. Boyka blinks but takes it well.
Ciocan keeps the fight on the outside.
Boyka lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ciocan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ciocan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Boyka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ciocan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Ciocan as Boyka shoots in.
Boyka has managed to clinch.
Boyka lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ciocan backwards.
Boyka doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Boyka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boyka instigates a clinch.
Boyka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boyka lands with a kick to the ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ciocan cracks Boyka with a good jab.
Ciocan connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ciocan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boyka - the referee stops the clock and Ciocan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boyka. Ciocan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ciocan looks winded!
Ciocan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Boyka takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ciocan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ciocan misses with a straight left.
Ciocan cracks Boyka with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ciocan misses with a hook.
Boyka throws a big counter combination but Ciocan scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Ion Ciocan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyka lands with a kick to the temple. Ciocan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Ion Ciocan has been cut.
A left and a right from Boyka both land. Nice combination.
Ciocan scores with a nice strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boyka walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A right-left combo lands from Ciocan.
Boyka is rocked!
Ciocan cracks Boyka with a good jab.
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ciocan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boyka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ciocan is fending him off so far but Boyka persists. Nope, Ciocan circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ciocan! But no joy.
Boyka moves in looking to clinch but Ciocan pushes him off.
Boyka drives through and clinches with Ciocan against the cage.
Boyka drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ciocan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Boyka. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boyka prevents Ciocan from breaking the clinch.
Boyka lands a knee to the body.
Boyka seems to have got his legs back now.

Boyka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ciocan defends well and Boyka ends up having to push Ciocan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boyka takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Good standup being displayed there by Ciocan as he connects with a hook.

Ciocan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Ciocan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ciocan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Boyka tries to clinch up.
Boyka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nice defenses there by Boyka.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ciocan swings widly with a right hand
and Boyka counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ion Ciocan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boyka is looking to clinch but Ciocan is avoiding it.
Ciocan misses with a double jab.
Ciocan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ciocan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Boyka had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Boyka takes the fight into the clinch.
Boyka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ciocan uses from the top position.
Boyka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Boyka working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Boyka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Boyka seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ciocan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
