Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cody snowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). cody snowman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Dragon or perhaps it was just good defense by snowman which made him look bad.
snowman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dragon counters by clinching up.
snowman keeps control of Dragon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dragon goes for a takedown in the clinch but snowman prevents it.
Dragon is breathing heavily.
snowman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Dragon regains guard immediately.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dragon pulls guard effortlessly.

snowman thows a big elbow that misses.
Dragon wants to stand up but snowman is controlling him.

Dragon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dragon wants to lay and pray for a moment but snowman keeps working.

Dragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. snowman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

snowman is looking for a sweep. Dragon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dragon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dragon breaks the clinch.
snowman has managed to clinch.
Dragon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
snowman throws a lazy head kick
and Dragon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for snowman!
Dragon wants to finish this one by submission but snowman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dragon.

snowman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

You can see the frustration on snowman's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dragon is looking for a kimura but snowman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dragon to get the leverage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dragon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
