Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Boyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brason Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 2, fighting out of New York, Brason Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyne closes the distance and clinches up with Jenkins, looking for a takedown. Boyne pushes Jenkins against the cage but Jenkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And Jenkins tries to counter it with a takedown but Boyne pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Boyne clinches.
Jenkins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Jenkins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jenkins forces Boyne back against the cage and clinches.

Jenkins gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jenkins missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Jenkins trying to control the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Boyne wants to control but Jenkins is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Boyne tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Boyne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jenkins winds up and cracks Boyne with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jenkins seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jenkins is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jenkins slips a nice elbow through Boyne's hands, connecting with Boyne's forehead.
Boyne flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jenkins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Boyne!
Boyne is trying to stand but he's just given Jenkins his back.
Jenkins controls the position.

Jenkins has got one arm under Boyne's chin. This could be trouble... Boyne trying to control the other hand but Jenkins gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Boyne has tapped out! The fight is over!
