Cozad's coach down at 3Band MMA ($500/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cozad's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mission fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cozad looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cozad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mission tries to avoid it but Cozad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mission to the ground. Mission escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cozad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mission's waist but Mission gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cozad off to one side.

Mission connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mission stalks Cozad and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cozad's face. Cozad staggers backwards, shaken.

Cozad tightens his grip and picks Mission up, before dumping him to the ground. Mission manages to land in guard.

Mission working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cozad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cozad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cozad drops back looking for a leg! Mission is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mission manages to kick Cozad off! Cozad jumps back into Mission's guard.
Mission has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
