Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cristobal Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe McMac!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMac misses with a straight left.
A swing and a miss from McMac.
The fighters circling - McMac throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Salazar went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Salazar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salazar showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Salazar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Salazar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McMac dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McMac gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Salazar has his takedown stuffed
enabling McMac to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Cristobal Salazar has been cut.

Salazar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Salazar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McMac will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

McMac reaches up around Salazar's neck trying to control. But Salazar takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for McMac! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! McMac is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Salazar celebrates the victory with the fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Cristobal Salazar!
