The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stara throws a push kick but Mccall slaps the foot to one side.
It looked like Mccall was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Mccall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stara as he jumps to the side.
Mccall rushes Stara and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mccall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Twoja Stara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mccall leaves Stara with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccall misses with the combination.
Stara shapes to counter with a head kick.
Mccall gets tackled into the cage by Stara. Stara maintains the clinch.

Stara wants to control from the top but Mccall keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stara is fighting to break Mccall's control of his arms but Mccall is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stara has Mccall up against the cage in a clinch.

Mccall ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mccall no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mccall is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

and Mccall counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Mccall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stara gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Stara tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mccall swivels and escapes.
Mccall takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Carrol Mccall has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Mccall. No joy for Stara on that attempt.
Stara throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mccall's waist but Mccall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stara off to one side.

Stara throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mccall counters by clinching up.
Mccall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stara pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stara tries to bum rush Mccall with a series of wild strikes but Mccall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stara throws a sloppy head kick
and Mccall counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Stara tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mccall manages to move to mount!
Mccall content just to control the position here.
Stara reaches up to try and pull Mccall in and control his posture, but Mccall latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Stara taps out and this one is all over!
