And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fats McGhee!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson moves out of range of the body kick from McGhee.

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.

McGhee decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

McGhee manages to break the clinch.
Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

McGhee tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.
McGhee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
McGhee's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Johnson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

McGhee is trying to force a seperation but Johnson has the dominant position.
Johnson lands an elbow just above McGhee 's eye.


That has opened up Fats McGhee's cut even more.
McGhee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McGhee can't break the clinch.

McGhee has a couple of punches blocked by Johnson.

Johnson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

McGhee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

McGhee closes the distance and clinches.

Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson tries to land a front kick but McGhee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
McGhee counters with a body kick.
McGhee scores with the left hand. Johnson knows he should have avoided that one.

McGhee closes the distance and clinches.
McGhee is trying to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling him.
McGhee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. McGhee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Johnson rushes McGhee and presses him up against the cage.
McGhee is looking to break free of the clinch but Johnson has double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on McGhee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
McGhee blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGhee throws a head punch that misses.
McGhee avoids a wild elbow strike from Johnson.
A short right from Johnson on the inside.


The cut above Fats McGhee's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McGhee is trying to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling him.

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Johnson is pulling down on McGhee's head to control his posture.

McGhee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top!


McGhee is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Johnson has his hands clasped together but McGhee extends and breaks Johnson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by McGhee.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Fats McGhee!
In his post fight interview, Fats McGhee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
