Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clayton Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Barry Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sanders as he jumps to the side.
Sanders lands an overhand right.
Sanders moves out of range of the body kick.
Sanders throws a counter combo.

Sanders forces Bright back against the cage and clinches.

Bright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bright avoids the head kick by Sanders.
Bright went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A cross from Sanders lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Sanders.
Sanders misses with a two punch combination.
Bright seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sanders fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bright under the eye.

Sanders decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bright manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sanders keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Sanders is looking for a takedown.

Bright manages to break the clinch.
Bright dives in and grabs Sanders's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes down on Bright's head and hops out.

Bright shoots in and gets a takedown into Sanders's guard.

Sanders manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanders throws a right and a left that both miss.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bright.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clayton Bright. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sanders defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bright.
Sanders throws a right and a left that Bright avoids nicely.

Sanders closes the distance and pushes Bright back into the cage.

Sanders breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sanders throws a combination. Bright tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sanders throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bright.
Sanders looks winded!
Sanders comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bright shoots for a takedown but Sanders saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanders sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bright somewhat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanders dodges the punch combination from Bright.
Sanders drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bright defends it well.

Sanders lands a big head kick that sends Bright tumbling to the mat! Sanders takes a step backwards and waves Bright back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Bright is rocked!
A head kick by Sanders - that's a beauty! Bright is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sanders can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Barry Sanders!
