Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brook Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Kissinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Kissinger is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brook Harris !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Kissinger!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Kissinger lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harris doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Brook Harris has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harris .
Harris scores with a punch to the head.
Harris has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kissinger scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kissinger connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kissinger swings for the body but Harris moves out of range.
Harris goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harris avoids the body shot from Kissinger.

Harris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Harris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Harris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kissinger is looking to reverse the position.
Harris tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

I wouldn't like to be where Kissinger is right now.
Harris tries to stand but Kissinger controls the position and pulls Harris into his guard.

Kissinger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harris defends it easily.

Kissinger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harris is aware though and is defending well.

Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kissinger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kissinger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Harris is trying to get back to full guard.
Kissinger moves nicely into side control.
Kissinger wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy.

Kissinger wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harris , who protects the arm well.

Kissinger is trying to get an arm triangle but Harris is defending well.

Kissinger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Harris is not content to let Kissinger control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Harris buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kissinger swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Harris moves into the clinch.
Harris is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Harris prevents the takedown attempt.
Kissinger goes for a takedown in the clinch but Harris prevents it.
Brook Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Kissinger.
Harris is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kissinger is defending well for now.
A bit of stalling here from Kissinger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris manages to break the clinch.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kissinger paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kissinger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Harris walks into a stiff left hand from Kissinger.

Kissinger shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Harris eats them both and turns towards Kissinger to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kissinger is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kissinger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kissinger lands a nice looking body shot.
Brook Harris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harris throws a hook to the side of Kissinger's head but Kissinger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kissinger throws a series of punches but Harris avoids them all with ease.
Harris misses with a hook.
Nice body punch from Kissinger.
Kissinger dips to his left and cracks Harris with an uppercut!

Kissinger throws a right hand that Harris ducks under and follows up with a left that Harris also avoids with ease.
Kissinger misses with a double jab.
Harris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kissinger. That did some damage!
Harris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kissinger on the side of the head.
Kissinger takes a swing at Harris 's ribcage but misses.

and Harris counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Harris tries to circle away but Kissinger has him pinned against the cage.
Kissinger is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Harris is trying to force a seperation but Kissinger has the dominant position.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kissinger stuffs the takedown.
Harris lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kissinger displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Kissinger connects with a crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Despite the aggression on Kissinger's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
A combination from Harris does no damage.
Harris cracks the inside of Kissinger's front leg.

Kissinger fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Harris on the side of the head.

Henry Kissinger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Kissinger uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Harris has time to react.
Harris dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Harris throws a head kick that misses
and Kissinger counters with a right hand to the body.

Kissinger feints and as Harris raises his hands in defense, Kissinger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kissinger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Henry Kissinger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kissinger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kissinger is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harris has escaped and now he's on top!

Kissinger has his foot on Harris 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harris works his way back into a safe position though.
Kissinger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kissinger is proving hard to escape from.
Harris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Harris wants to pass the guard but Kissinger is keeping the position.
Kissinger has control of Harris 's left arm, preventing Harris from doing any damage.
Kissinger wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kissinger seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Harris stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Kissinger misses with a double jab.
Harris tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kissinger manages to circle out of the way.
Kissinger lands a jab to Harris 's midsection.
Kissinger punishes Harris 's body with a nice straight punch.
Harris lands a nice hook to Kissinger's body. Kissinger takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Harris moves in looking to clinch but Kissinger pushes him off.
Harris avoids a punch combination nicely.

Harris closes the distance and clinches.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kissinger takes a kick to the side of the head.

Kissinger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kissinger passes Harris 's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Harris manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris is trying to keep Kissinger in close.

Harris wants to stand and escape but Kissinger is having none of it.
Kissinger looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Brook Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Henry Kissinger is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kissinger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
