Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammed Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Nunez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muhammed Ali!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nunez closes the distance and pushes Ali back into the cage.
Ali is trying to drag Nunez to the mat but Nunez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Nunez pulls guard successfully.
Nunez looking for a sweep. Not yet Nunez, not yet.
Ali missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ali postures up in Nunez's guard and throws a big left but Nunez blocks it.
Nunez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nunez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ali is defending against the submission attempts here by Nunez.

Nunez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ali defends it well.

Ali wants to get back to his feet.
Ali keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Nunez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ali wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nunez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ali tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nunez defends well and Ali ends up having to push Nunez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Nunez feints and as Ali raises his hands in defense, Nunez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Nunez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Nunez throws a big right hand that misses.

Nunez has gone for a leg lock! Ali slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nunez's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ali lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ali pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nunez is keeping the position for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Nunez has Ali up against the cage in a clinch.

Ali manages to get to full guard.
Ali utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Nunez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ali manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nunez has Ali in his guard.

Nunez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ali can do to turn this around?

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nunez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ali throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nunez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ali wants to control from the top but Nunez keeps moving.
Nunez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ali wants to pass the guard but Nunez is keeping the position.
Nunez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Nunez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lee Nunez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nunez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ali trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ali lands a couple of elbows.
Nunez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ali's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nunez throws a big elbow that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ali wants to stand up but Nunez is controlling him.

Nunez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ali looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ali looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ali!

Nunez defending against the ground and pound.
Nunez manages to get back to half guard.
Ali is nestled in close to Nunez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nunez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ali takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nunez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ali's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ali's back!

Nunez working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Ali manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.

Nunez clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Muhammed Ali will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Ali closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nunez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Ali fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nunez avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ali is trying to trip Nunez. He has hold of a leg but Nunez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ali persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Ali gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nunez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunez wants it to stay on the feet.

Nunez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ali, pushing him back against the cage.

Nunez breaks the clinch.
Ali shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nunez as he jumps to the side.
Lee Nunez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhammed Ali.
Ali takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Nunez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ali looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ali tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nunez scores with strikes from the back.

Nunez has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ali! Can he survive? No! He's out! Nunez gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lee Nunez!
