Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dam Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cannondale Trail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dam Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cannondale Trail!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son motions for Trail to come forward. Son throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Trail looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Son throws a quick inside leg kick.
Son throws a hook to the side of Trail's head but Trail sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Son moves into the clinch.
Trail lands a shoulder strike.
Son tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Son is trying to maintain a safe position but Trail gets an underhook and turns Son into the ropes.
Trail looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Son looking to throw knees to the head but Trail is blocking nicely.
Son blocks a body shot from Trail.
Trail goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Son using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Trail has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Son is trying to stall.

Son tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jab, jab by Son - just one landing.
Son throws a hook but Trail blocks it.
Son keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A big left from Trail misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Trail crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Son - the referee stops the clock and Trail gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Son. Trail manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Trail takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Crunch! Son slams his shin into Trail's torso.
Son stuns Trail with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Son connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Son lands with a straight right. Trail didn't see that one coming.
Son throws a push kick but Trail slaps the foot to one side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Son misses with an attempted mid kick.
Trail throws out a counter right but Son avoids it with no problem.

Trail takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice uppercut lands for Son. That snapped Trail's head back.
Trail throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dam Son seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Son tries to land a front kick but Trail steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Son feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Trails jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A nice side step and Trail releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Trail counters with a right hand to the body.
Trail dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Son fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trail, pushing him back against the ropes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trail manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Son throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Trail blocks it with crossed arms.
Trail wants to stall.
Son with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Trail lands a shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Trail doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Son trying to control the position but instead, Trail has worked for underhooks and has pushed Son into the ropes.

and Trail counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Trail takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Son lands with an uppercut that bounces Trail off the ropes and back into range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Son.
Trail takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A solid leg kick lands there for Son.
Dam Son is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Trail's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Trail shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Trail takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Son looks to score with a jab to the body but Trail is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Trail on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Son throws the left hand but Trail avoids the punch easily.

Trail let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Cannondale Trail has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That kick from Son tenderised Trail's leg. Trail is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters circle momentarily. Trail darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


It looks like Dam Son has been cut.
Trail takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

And that's the end of the fight!
Dam Son showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Son has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Dam Son misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
