Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joshua White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brason Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
White is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
White perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
White seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jenkins shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jenkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jenkins enables White to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jenkins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Brason Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
