Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Horton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eggman defends it nicely.
Horton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Eggman misses with a low kick.
Horton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Eggman counters with a left and a right that stings Horton.

Eggman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horton looks for a takedown but Eggman sprawls well.

Eggman shoots in and drives through. Horton sprawls well.

Eggman gets tackled into the cage by Horton. Horton maintains the clinch.

Eggman jumps guard but Horton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Horton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eggman's waist but Eggman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Horton off to one side.

Eggman shoots in looking for a takedown but Horton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eggman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Eggman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horton is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Eggman still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Eggman has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Horton is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Eggman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
