Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zyron Dova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zyron Dova is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zyron Dova!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dova clinches up against the cage.

Dova is trying to trip Kerr. He has hold of a leg but Kerr is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dova persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kerr has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dova off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Dova wants to clinch up but Kerr keeps it at a distance.
Dova throws a series of punches but Kerr moves out of range.

Dova rushes Kerr and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dova breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kerr could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dova staying out of range there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dova tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kerr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dova turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Kerr is trying to control Dova's posture but Dova avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dova scoring with punches from side control.
Dova trying to control the position but Kerr is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dova has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Dova gets the takedown into side control.
Kerr struggling a bit here.
Kerr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dova wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dova wants to control but Kerr is keeping him busy.
Dova landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dova postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kerr can't do much from the bottom here.
Kerr gets back to half guard.
Kerr trying to control but Dova postures up.
Kerr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dova's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dova's back!
Kerr thows a strike but Dova uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Dova as he ends up in Kerr 's guard!

Kerr wants to stand and escape but Dova is having none of it.
Dova forces his way into half guard.
Dova wants to control but Kerr is keeping him busy.

Kerr landing strikes from the bottom.
Kerr tries to kick Dova off but Dova keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dova is nestled in close to Kerr, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kerr is trying to stand back up but Dova is controlling him

Dova is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kerr is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Dova wants to control but Kerr is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zyron Dova dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dova is looking to clinch but Kerr is avoiding it.
Dova throws a series of punches but Kerr moves out of range.

Dova fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kerr, pushing him back against the cage.
Kerr tries to pull guard but Dova forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kerr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dova to keep the fight standing.

Dova has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kerr clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kerr looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dova is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kerr up.
Kerr is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Dova lands a shot to the head.
Kerr is trying to get back to his feet but Dova has full control of the position and if anything, Kerr has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Kerr trying to control the position but Dova manages to sink in the hooks.
Dova is looking to control Kerr but Kerr is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Kerr is trying to stand back up.

Dova is looking for the choke from the back position but Kerr is controlling his hands well.

Dova looking to break Kerr's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kerr remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dova will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Dova is looking to control Kerr but Kerr is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Kerr just trying to survive but Dova is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Kerr tries to roll but Dova sticks to his back.
Dova has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kerr is trying to stand back up.
Kerr is keeping busy.

Kerr tries to escape but Dova has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Kerr breaks Dova's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Zyron Dova has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kerr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kerr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dova is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dova has escaped and now he's on top!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dova stays in close to Kerr's body and controls the position.
Kerr throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dova trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kerr is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dova dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zyron Dova showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Kerr enables Dova to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kerr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kerr is wriggling around but Dova manages to pass to half guard.

Dova stops Kerr from getting back to his feet.
Kerr is refusing to be controlled, as Dova sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dova throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kerr trying to control from the bottom.
Kerr flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dova prevents Kerr from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dova keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Dova wants to take a breather but Kerr is having none of it.
Kerr missing with punches from the bottom.
Ground and pound from Dova.
Dova winds up and cracks Kerr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kerr scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Dova manages to mount him!
Kerr tries to hold on but Dova postures up.
Dova controlling from the full mount.
Dova fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dova trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kerr is desperately trying to improve his position but Dova has a good base and remains in mount.
Kerr tries to buck Dova off but Dova takes his back!

Dova looking for the choke from the back.
Dova avoiding Kerr 's attempts to control his hands.
Kerr can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kerr is covering up but some of the strikes from Dova are getting through and doing damage.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kerr really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Dova's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Kerr is trying to defend against the choke here but Dova has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Dova Tightens the hold and Kerr taps out furiously! Dova displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Zyron Dova!
