Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Percival Pellinore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kelly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pellinore holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly moves into full mount! Pellinore won't be happy about that!

Kelly with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kelly controlling the position easily from mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee warns Pellinore that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pellinore is just holding on here. Kelly manages to take his back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
It looks like Kelly might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Pellinore could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kelly looking for the choke but no joy.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Pellinore is trying to break free.
Kelly not allowing Pellinore to control his hands.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kelly lands punches and elbows.
Kelly struggling to land strikes to the head as Pellinore covers up.
Pellinore trying to control the action but Kelly just sinks the hooks in.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kelly controlling the positon.
Kelly has the hooks in. Pellinore is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Kelly punches the canvas rather than the man.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pellinore has hold of Kelly's leg, trying to break free but it's let Kelly lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Pellinore is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Kelly throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ricky Kelly!
