The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charyak moves in looking to clinch but Richards pushes him off.

Charyak sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Richards to the ground! Charyak dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Barry Richards has been cut.

Charyak jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Richards is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Richards and Charyak has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Charyak tries to advance to mount but Richards denies him.
Richards is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Charyak in side control, throwing shots but Richards defends.
An elbow from Charyak crashes against the mat.
Richards is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Charyak is controlling him well.

Charyak throws an elbow but Richards slips to the side and avoids it well.
Charyak tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Charyak trying to control the action but Richards is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Richards throws a series of punches but Charyak avoids them all with ease.
Richards lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Charyak circles away quickly and effectively.
An inside leg kick from Charyak misses.
Charyak scores with a nice body kick.
Charyak scores with a head kick.
Charyak throws a nice outside leg kick.
Richards is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Charyak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Richards's calf.
Richards takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Richards moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Barry Richards's cut is getting worse.

Richards on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Charyak. Charyak obviously looking to wear him down.
Charyak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Richards manages to avoid it.
Charyak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richards is fending him off so far but Charyak persists. Nope, Richards circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circle, before Charyak throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Richards's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Charyak lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
